My kindergarten student can already read. Will he/she still be challenged at Cedar Tree?
Many of our kindergarten students can read, and that is wonderful. They will still be challenged, and have opportunity to develop these skills even further. Our emphasis is on learning phonics, which they will be able to apply instantly in their reading. Students who don’t read will not feel left out, but will rather get the strong background needed to begin reading soon.
We are a school that incorporates a proven classical methodology, steeped in our heritage of Christian faith, so that our graduates are encouraged and equipped to lead and love others with wisdom and eloquence for the glory of God.

Cedar Tree enjoys many annual traditions that are unique to our school. Some examples include:
Reformation Day – Every October we celebrate the October 1517 beginning of the Protestant Reformation by inviting students to dress up in costumes of great Christians from the past. Upper School students lead the younger students in creative “carnival” activities to reinforce our Reformation heritage.
