Our school year starts approximately a week later than public schools in the area, and ends approximately a week earlier.
In terms of meeting state requirements, our total instructional hours are added up. As long as there are not an unusually large number of snow days in a given year, the calendar has cushion to accommodate them.
We don’t designate entire days for in-service, but rather accommodate those in-service meetings with an once-a-month two hour early dismissal.
